Kerry Diamond Necklaces
The Kerry 'Diamonds' or 'Gems' are in fact crystals growing in the rocks and cliffs of County Kerry, Ireland.
They can be found all along the coastline, and I'm using some of the better formed crystals to make pendant necklaces.
This is the first one I made for a friend, and I'll be making them for website sales soon...
Glass Beads...
I went on a specialist course last year to study the art of glass bead making, a very intricate and careful process to create beads of many patterns, shapes and colours using glass rods.
I really enjoyed creating the beads, and hope to have the equipment by early next year to make them in my own studio. Watch this space...
Silver Jewellery...
Another area I'd like to start specialising in is working with Silver.
I've studied the techniques required and, as with the glass beads, hope to have my studio set up for this by early next year.
This pendant was made on a course I attended, and is typical of the style of jewellery I
hope to create. Once I have the equipment for working with silver, I'm
very keen to experiment with copper and bronze too...
